One of the largest and most easily accessible beaches in Messinia is that of Kalamata. It is 2.5 kilometers long and you can even get there on foot from the city center.
It is paved with high pebbles and gradually deepens, and it has even been awarded with a blue flag.
Access to the beach is free, however if you want more comfort then you can sit on the sunbeds from the countless beach bars located along the beach.
